Status measures stock on hand against expected lead-time demand and inventory position against the reorder point. Recommendations are decision support, not automatic purchase orders.

Methodology and limits

Traceable arithmetic with transparent, editable assumptions.

01 / Demand signal

The last six months receive linearly increasing weights. A capped, damped three-month trend is added. Monthly demand is normalized to 30.44 days. No external AI service or trained model is claimed.

02 / Uncertainty buffer

Safety stock uses a normal service z-score and a variance approximation combining observed monthly demand fluctuations with configurable lead-time variability. Actual demand distributions may differ.

03 / Replenishment policy

Order trigger: inventory position ≤ reorder point. Recommended quantity raises projected position toward lead-time demand plus the chosen coverage horizon and buffer, rounded to packs and MOQ.

04 / ABC prioritization

SKUs are ranked by forecast annual usage value (forecast units × 12 × unit cost). Cumulative value up to 80% is A, up to 95% B, remainder C; boundary items may push a class beyond the threshold.

05 / Data quality

Demo products are fictional and deterministic. CSV headers must match the template. Forecasting assumes at least 12 monthly observations and stable cost/currency inputs. Past 12 months are oldest to newest.

06 / Operating boundary

Everything runs client-side. Saved edits remain only in this browser's local storage. No uploads, ERP integration, real-time inventory sync, or automatic purchase execution. Reloading resets nothing unless explicitly requested.
